The Invisalign® Process
Your Journey to a Straighter Smile
During your first visit, we capture detailed digital images of your teeth using a comfortable scanner. These 3D scans let us map tooth positions and design each aligner with precision. We review the virtual treatment timeline with you and answer your questions. Once approved, we manufacture your trays and schedule your aligner pickup so you can begin on time.
Aligner Wear and Care
Each aligner is worn for approximately 2 weeks at a time and comes in a set of 12-20+ aligners. The aligners are removed from the mouth for meals and oral hygiene only meaning they are worn for 20-22 hours a day. Likewise, clear aligners are easy to care for and extremely effective in moving your teeth and providing excellent orthodontic results without bulky metal brackets or wires.
Monitoring Your Progress
Every six to eight weeks, you will visit our office for a brief checkup. We verify aligner fit, review your progress, and make minor adjustments if needed. Digital images at these checkpoints ensure your teeth move according to plan. We stay connected between visits to support you and address any concerns you may have.
Aftercare and Retention
At Intentional Dentistry, formerly known as Wilson Dental, your clear aligner journey includes one custom set of retainers to help you maintain your beautiful smile and tooth alignment. Your retainers look similar to your clear aligner trays but are a more durable material to prevent movement. Our team will provide instruction and homecare instructions to help you maintain your beautiful smile!
