At Vondrak Dental, a division of Intentional Dentistry, we provide custom orthodontic care designed to fit both your lifestyle and overall wellness. With advanced training from the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, the American Orthodontic Society, and the Clinical Foundation of Orthopedics and Orthodontics, Dr. Stephanie Vondrak is expertly equipped to help you or your child achieve a beautiful smile while supporting and developing expanded arches for optimal nasal breathing and long-term oral health. Dr. Vondrak utilizes various techniques to achieve these goals including: dental facial orthopedic appliances (fancy retainers), Clear Aligners like Invisalign and/or traditional braces to meet each individualized orthodontic goal!

Why Airway Expansion Matters
Poor airway function and affect sleep, concentration and over health especially in a growing child. At Vondrak Dental, we use custom orthopedic appliances to gently expand the upper jaw increasing the size of the palate for improved swallowing and breathing. This early step eliminates snoring in children, makes room for erupting teeth and supports balanced facial growth. Children love the opportunity to pick out and design their expanders (fancy retainers) as a part of their health journey.
- Improve sleep quality
- Reduce snoring
- Relieve jaw tension
- Support facial growth
Why Choose Vondrak Dental for Your Orthodontics

Beyond Traditional Braces
At Vondrak Dental, we love helping you straighten your teeth and enhance your smile. But what if we could also expand your palate, improve your nasal breathing, and support your overall health at the same time? We can! Dr. Stephanie Vondrak is passionate about improving facial structure to enhance wellness. This is achieved by combining palatal expansion with orthodontic treatment. This photo shows the before-and-after results using an ALF appliance with traditional braces—demonstrating the remarkable outcomes possible when function and aesthetics are treated together.
Early Orthodontic Intervention
One example of Early orthodontic intervention is stopping a thumb-sucking habit while expanding the upper arch (the Maxilla). By using an appliance like the one pictured, your child can break the thumb-sucking habit… improving facial growth and development. Likewise, you can use the expansion screw to increase palatal width improving nasal breathing and long term health. By addressing this habit early, you are helping your child improve bite alignment, oral function, and confidence. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding this or the many other early intervention orthodontic treatments we provide.

Invisalign® Clear Aligners
Invisalign® uses clear, custom-made trays that move teeth in gentle steps. You change each tray every one to two weeks. Most people see smaller gaps close and teeth shift in months. Aligners are nearly invisible, and you can remove them to eat, brush, and floss. We track your progress and adjust your plan as you go.

What I Love About Dentistry:
What I love about dentistry is the opportunity to help patients understand long-term dental solutions that not only preserve their teeth for a lifetime but also support healthier, longer lives. I’m passionate about whole-body wellness, from addressing sleep obstructions in the dental office—which can reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other serious conditions—to relieving chronic TMJ pain that has impacted someone for years. I’m also inspired by the ability to open a child’s airway and create space for properly erupting teeth, setting them up for a healthier future. The many ways I can help patients improve their health and quality of life is what excites me most about my work.
